A weekend in Norfolk in early July started with me twitching a Glossy Ibis at Sapiston (Suffolk), which was easy enough to find, on 02 July. I then visited the BTO headquarters to attend the OSME summer AGM for the rest of the day.

I spent the night in Kings Lynn and visited Titchwell the following morning, with the ambition of getting better views of the Great Knot which was still present. Annoyingly the aforementioned mega remained at quite some distance throughout the duration of my visit. 216 Avocets were nice to see on the freshmarsh, and an unsuccessful search for Dune Tiger Beetles on the beach did produce a few Sandwich Terns and a Common Seal.
