A great day out in Suffolk and northern Essex with Paul B, starting at Abberton Resservior which produced two Great White Egret, Long-tailed Duck, four Smew, Slavonian Grebe, two Black-necked Grebe, Little Stint and 43 Goosander. A colour-ringed Little Egret here was ringed as a pullus in May 2017 in the Lea Valley, Essex (36 miles west).
The next stop was Hazlewood Marsh, Suffolk, where the Coues's Arctic Redpoll showed well amidst a group of Lessers.
A quick look at North Warren revealed a small group of Snow Bunting on the shingle and two Purple Sandpiper.
A brief visit to Landguard Point on the way back south produced the hoped for Iceland Gull, and our final destination of Chelmondiston provided us with good views of the Richard's Pipit. A great day with all targets scored!
